When I was small, swimming gear was made of wool. It did not shrink, but stretched distressingly when wet!

Now why would anyone, in their right mind, wear wool underwear? Can you imagine all the butt scratching going on? The sneaky hand maneuvers to get to the itchy parts best left unnamed? Oh, and the "ants in your pants dance" would be all too common place. It would be mayhem, I tell you...absolute mayhem! :o)
