FFF55. We are not A-muse-d

My muse has not been striking.
In fact she went on strike.
In spite of all my efforts
I find I can not write.
Blank paper is a barrier
Too high for me to climb.
No sharp, inspired storyline
No breath of poem’s rhyme.
My usually prolific stream
Of words has dried up like

*******

Yes folks - I've had a grim week word-wise! I hope next week is more inspirational.

If you're looking for more (and better) words than these you can find them arranged in 55s over at the G-Man's blog.

In marketing that trick is known as 'making a benefit out of a feature' - Very good.

ok, take all the balled up blank paper, two unsharpened pencils and a pinch of nutmeg, burn them, gathering the ashes...put a pinch in your tea...the muse will return...

ok you might get lead poisoning as well from the pencils....

You did fine! always look behind the paper, curtain or whatever is up front; or borrow someone elses subject and hitch a ride! silence will pass. Thanks.

Ha!!
Just sit tight, something of substance will surely pop up!
Real life sometimes is the best inspiration.
Clever 55 AJ...
Thanks for playing, and have a Kick Ass Week-End

It's part of the cycle- we live, we explore, we find words, we write, we chrysalis, we emerge- and begin to live again.

Words will come, in their time. Don't pry open the chrysalis; wings are still forming.

Take a vacation from your Muse for awhile. You'll find she's waiting desperately for you when you return.

Even muses deserve a sabbatical, I suppose. A lyrical tribute in 55 to her.

Jobbing Writer. You rock writing even when you think you can't!!

Take good care. Your muse is just storing up the good stuff.
