300 CCC Triple century etc

What's she on about? Well, this is my 300th Jobbing Writer post. It's not a poem or a challenge or anything to do with my creative writing. It's just an announcement.

Should I do a giveaway? Is 300 enough to brag about? I don't know.

If you think I should offer a prize, leave a comment saying why you think you deserve it. If anyone (or two or three) convinces me I'll send you something.

(Offer ends Friday, April 13. Because that's just how my sense of humour works!)

Don't know about bragging, and am certainly not about to claim a prize ... but just checked my count and last night's 'Unshed' piece was number 404 ... since February 2010.
A moment for quiet personal satisfaction I think ... and thanks and congratulations from me for the entertainment.

The 13th .. it's a friend's birthday - at least one, it's my lucky number, I was born on the 13th .. I rather like the 13th .. oh yes I passed my driving test on April 13th many many moons ago!

Of COURSE 300 is something to brag about. It is a triangular number and the sum of a pair of twin primes (149 + 151), as well as the sum of ten consecutive primes (13 + 17 + 19 + 23 + 29 + 31 + 37 + 41 + 43 + 47). It is a Harshad number.

Three Hundred, the name given to the Spartans who fought to the death at the Battle of Thermopylae.

Three Hundred ROCKS. Of COURSE there should be a give away, or something monumental to celebrate this achievement!

In bowling, 300 is a perfect score!

In paintball, 300 ft/s is the maximum legal velocity of a shot paintball.

How can you NOT acknowledge 300! Think about it!
