Saw this on the news last night --what were they thinking??? That would be acceptable, if bizarre, as individual artwork, but as a so-called 'restoration,' it's a defacement and total mess. Good intentions need to be restrained by good judgment! Enjoyed it, MAJ.

As sad as the situation may seem, perhaps God had decided that painting's time had come and gone.
Time marches on and the world keeps spinning, with or without us or that painting.
