Thursday extracts: Eeyore on writing

Eeyore was saying to himself, "This writing business. Pencils and what-not. Over-rated, if you ask me. Silly stuff. Nothing in it."

Always worth a quote. At one time, knowlege of Whinnie the Pooh was a guide to how middle class you were. Not sure if it is still a valid guide or even if such classifications are still significant. But some firms used it when selecting coustomer facing staff.

What happened? I went away to do a spell check and when I came back all these comments had arrived, complete with spelling mistakes...

Sometimes that happens. No idea why. The person who taught me about Winnie the Pooh was the son of a train driver. Middle class? Think not.

On the other hand I HAVE read it in Latin.
