Are fairytales too frightening for children?
*********
‘So, traditional tales are too scary for children,?’ Brian queried after gathering his family in the kitchen. His young sons looked on, fascinated.
‘No more Brothers Grimm. No more Fee Fi Fo Fum.
‘Maybe we should show them a slice of real life, then,’ he sneered, and plunged the bread knife into his wife’s chest.

Guess your answer is 'no!' ...
I liked that this was to the point. (sorry)
Hi Anne .. gosh I loved all those Grimm Fairy Tale books .. but your take on real life .. not so much! It's scary out there - people ...
Have a good weekend .. Hiilary
Is that what America now calls "terminating with extreme prejudice"? Sure beats Fee Fi Fo Fum for dramatic impact!
Crikey Brian's teaching methods are a bit extreme!
The disturbing part here is that a bread knife would be decidedly difficult to plug in to anything so Brian must have put a great deal of effort into his lesson.
I'm sure that the children learned the moral of the story though.
Jeez AJ...
Aren't we in a great mood?
Gotta love a Knife Plunge!

Wow dark...and I am a sucker for dark things though I was kind of hoping for a different parent advisory LOL. Excellent 55.
Life is far darker than any fairy tale, I'm afraid, as you amply demonstrate here.
Wicked 55!
