fff55: Rain rain rain
After the sunshine comes the long-awaited rain. Weeks of drier-than-usual weather have left the ground parched and dusty. The garden needed it desperately. Farmers were crying out for it to save their crops. Fields of vegetables were dying for a drink. But it might have arrived just in time to wreck this year’s grain harvest.

Hi Anne .. you could have written rain x 55 I think .. it was lovely rain too .. I'm not sure it's enough - but it's brightened the world down here a little ... lovely morning today with the wood pigeons calling in the background .. enjoy the weekend ..Hilary
Weather gods have a hard time getting things right...
Nature just isn't playing right nowadays, is it?
Gosh. Didn't it rain?!
We should have as many words for rain as the Inuit are supposed to have for snow...yesterday's was a whole shed load...
rained here last night too...i hear you on the consequences of getting what we hope for...needed or otherwise...
Yes our gardens could use some water!
I hear Texas is extra thirsty...Thanks.
I'm hoping it came to us in time to save my lawn. The sprinkler wasn't enough.
There's always either too much or too little! ;)
All too true. it's already too late for rain here, but that just means we're all the more dependent on what's grown elsewhere.
AJ...
It's been very dry here as well.
Great inspiration for a story though
Loved your 55 My Friend
Thanks for playing, and have a Kick Ass Week-End
After last night's storm, this sounds familiar!
