Not a big score but it seems that most, if not all of the books on this list have been made into a feature film, or a TV series, which is not necessarily a good recommendation for them.
I wonder who decided that it would be an interesting exercise to see who has read them, because most of the film directors who made them into films do not seem to have been amongst them.snafuhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07588812293454033077noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7078296049434103926.post-55783960362579044472011-05-17T14:35:24.857+01:002011-05-17T14:35:24.857+01:00I've never heard of 'Five people' - da...I've never heard of 'Five people' - daren't even think of it at the moment, although I am progressing through my pile of un-read. And I too ought to re-read 'Catch 22'

A slight digression, I am shocked at the number of excellent contemporary Scottish writers who certainly don't seem to reach mainstream English bookshops - I highly recommend Andrew Greig - start with 'Electric Brae' and A L Kennedy I like too.Sandra Davieshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11788472031698175632noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7078296049434103926.post-43480748271789833972011-05-17T14:00:29.879+01:002011-05-17T14:00:29.879+01:00Hi Jarmara I might actually try Five People becau...Hi Jarmara I might actually try Five People because you're not the first person to say that.MorningAJhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04719744167307369768noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7078296049434103926.post-2379805986281223992011-05-17T13:52:03.290+01:002011-05-17T13:52:03.290+01:00I think Bridget Jones (and JK Rowling) were in the...I think Bridget Jones (and JK Rowling) were in there just so that people would have read something.
